Hello, hello, and welcome back to the Hormone Hub podcast, where we empower women to reclaim their vitality and thrive during perimenopause and menopause. I’m Kylie Pinwill, your guide on this journey of transformation. Now today, I’m going to dive into a topic that’s going to leave you saying, Oh my God, get me to the airport now.
And I’m talking about transformational retreats. So those magical escapes that have the power to sort of revitalize your life in ways you never even imagined. So what is a transformational retreat? So when we talk about retreats, there’s lots of different types. If you ask my husband, [00:01:00] he thinks it’s just a junket that I created so I could have a holiday.
But if you picture this, you’re surrounded like in this amazing serene oasis, with the lush, jungles of Bali, nature’s beauty, like a total sanctuary for self discovery growth, where, you can step out of that chaos of everyday life and focus, purely on yourself.
Now, there’s lots of benefits, like tons of benefits. Like first up, like imagine just waking up feeling more alive and more energized than you have in a long time, your body feels stronger, your mind feels clearer, your heart feels lighter. Now that’s the power of a transformational retreat. So, what we want to do in the course of that retreat is, help you get clear on what’s important to you in life.
What do you want more of? What do you want less of? And, cultivating the skills. So when you go home and step off that plate, you can take those, that with you. What I sort of encourage you to do is find something that resonates with you, resonates with your goals, resonates with your values. So whether you’re seeking, a business retreat, whether you’re looking for a yoga retreat, whether you’re looking for relaxation, personal growth or sort of like a deeper spiritual connection. Trust me, there’s a retreat out there with your name on it. And once you’ve chosen your retreat, prepare for your own transformational journey. So it’s more than just a holiday. Yes, we need a packing list, but,[00:04:00] we want the swimmers, we want the, you know, make sure we’ve got enough sarongs and all that sort of stuff.
But it’s also about, packing, setting your intentions for your experience. So that way, you can walk away with everything, you need to make the most of your time away. So, you know, rather than just turn up, have a nice holiday, go home, you can do that on your own.
But if you’re really looking for something a bit deeper, something a bit more transformative, what’s your intention for, for being away? Is it clarity on where you’re at in life? Is it to reset your health? Is it to, just have that break and that space that you want to give yourself?
Yes, like I said, I do have two retreats coming up in Bali this year. Everyone is welcome. You are welcome as a solo traveler. You are welcome to come with friends. We also step into the, the cultural side of Bali. So we’re not in the tourist zone. And we really connect with locals from the village that [00:05:00] we’re surrounded by and Bali is a beautiful spiritual sort of place, whether you’re religious or not, it actually doesn’t matter.
Kylie: But just the Hindu philosophy and the way they live, the way they treat people, the way members of their community are valued and they take care of each other.
